Visiting Parks In Minnesota

The moniker “Land of 10,000 Lakes” is certainly warranted. While one could wander Minnesota’s fields and forests, the experiences that set this state apart are found while floating on the lakes and rivers. Along with canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing, the waterfront is generally the best vantage point for wildlife spotting and general relaxation.

Hiking In Minnesota

Minnesota is a generally flat and forested land. While there is no shortage of hiking trails to explore the woods, many of them double as winter tracks for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiles.
It’s why we generally find our recreation in kayaking and canoeing while visiting this state.

Camping In Minnesota

Minnesota has a wide range of camping options. We tend to find camping sites at lake side resorts. While that means the resorts are more developed, the key is that many include access to beach front, water toys, and a station for cleaning your fish. If you are looking for the truly legit experience, don’t forget to find a location with a sauna.

Keep In Mind

While the smooth, clear water makes for beautiful shots of water lilies and carries the haunting cry of a loon for miles, it is also the ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes. Almost anytime spent outside should be preceded by application of your bug repellant of choice.
