Pausing for breakfast in Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona

We love being out in the wild. It is kinda what drives us.⠀

That being said, we like to draw a line between “The Wild” and the order of our truck and camper. We have had our fair share of mice and bugs but recently, we have learned of a different invader.⠀

You see, manufacturers, in their infinite wisdom, have started making fuel lines biodegradable by incorporating a soy protein in the manufacturing process. What I assume they didn’t consider was how that soy might be a wee smidge tasty to certain animals like squirrels. I don’t know who could have anticipated that a tasty fuel line might be a bad thing or where the squirrels developed a taste for Dodgy, but it looks like we are going to have to get a fuel line replaced.⠀

Anyone else had this problem? Any advise on how to deter squirrels? Maybe add some cilantro, anise, or brussels sprouts? What don’t squirrels like?
