He atua o ngā hau me ngā Āwha

Tāwhirimātea is god of natural elements, such as winds and storms. He would not agree to the separation of his parents, and remained with his father, Ranginui. Tāwhirimātea continues to inflict destruction on his brothers as a reminder of his disappointment in their actions.
