Whoever told you to not throw your food was wrong. They denied you a chance to establish a very busy restaurant founded on thrown food. Well, at least thrown rolls.
Lambert’s is home of the throwed roll. It says so on all of their promotional material. Look at their menu, it’s on the cover. Then you should duck, lest you be hit by a roll. Lambert’s is a large, laid back restaurant serving a range of comfort food from chicken gizzards to fried catfish. Along with their mighty portions, comes servers offering spoonfuls of fried okra, black eyed peas, and friend potatoes. Most importantly, though, are the doughy rolls that servers chuck to eagerly waving eaters. While there’s plenty of butter and honey at the table, don’t miss the sorghum (a syrup derived from the sugary sorghum grass) that also makes the rounds.
