Most large parks have campgrounds. Most offer a parking space, tent space, fire ring, and picnic table. Hopefully, they afford some degree of privacy. Maybe there will be shade. But rarely can you have a view like what is found in Saddlehorn Campground. But when you are camping on the edge of a high plateau, there are plenty of fantastic views to be had.

How to Replace a Paselec PX1 eBike Rear Hub Motor

Hands holding an ebike motor just removed from the wheel.

One of our favorite purchases in the last few years has been our ebikes. We take them across the country, riding along mountain roads and sandy beaches. To make room for them, we removed the rear seat of our truck cab and created a dedicated location to store them while traveling. They are more than just a form of recreation, they are a tool for scoping out rough trails and making quick trips. So, when we start experiencing trouble with the motor on one of our bikes, we are ready and willing to do the work to keep our bikes in tip-top shape. We are able to order a replacement motor from the manufacturer but installing it will be up to us. Fortunately, it is not nearly as difficult as we anticipate.

A Trip Down Skyline Drive

Shenandoah National Park rises above the valleys and urban development of northern Virginia as part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From its inception, park administration has carefully developed portions of this wilderness as a destination for motorists. Skyline Drive is the main artery through the park, following the ridgeline and connecting Front Royal in the north and Waynseborrow in the south.* The route was built at the dawn of popular motor travel and features prolific pullouts and almost 70 overlooks that continue to serve modern road trippers. We join other leaf peepers in the fall to drive the full 105-miles of Skyline Driver just as the leaves begin to turn.
